Welcome to Poppy Preschool
Poppy Preschool Cooperative, formerly DCCNS Cooperative Preschool, is a child-centered, play-based preschool located in Davis, CA, offering several multi-age programs for children between the ages of 1 and 5 years.
Through social interaction and play activities, we teach children life skills so children can form healthy relationships, be independent, solve problems and conflicts, learn self-discipline, and show respect for others.

What is a Co-Op?
A cooperative preschool is where families and teachers work hand-in-hand to create a nurturing and joyful place for children to learn and grow. Parents help in the classroom and support the school, building a close-knit community where kids—and families—make lasting friendships.
Our goal is to provide a helpful and varied environment in which children can develop socially, as well as physically, emotionally, and mentally. Working in the classroom allows parents to share challenges and joys with each other and their preschoolers.

All three of my kids started at Poppy Preschool at age 2, and it has truly been such a wonderful experience for our family. The teachers are so knowledgeable, caring, and dedicated, and my kids absolutely loved going each day. I also loved having the chance to work in the classroom-it gave me such a special connection with my kids' early years and with the school community.
